Privacy Policy — QPMN Assistant (Squarespace)

1. Summary
QPMN Assistant does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. It runs only inside your own Squarespace admin pages, keeps all of its data on your device, and makes exactly one kind of network request: fetching shipping rates from QPMN's own backend.
2. What the extension does
QPMN Assistant helps QPMN merchants configure their Squarespace store. Inside your Squarespace admin (https://*.squarespace.com/config/*) it can:
- Detect whether the QPMN storefront script is present in the Code Injection fields (Header, Order Confirmation Page, Order Status Page), and insert it when you click the button.
- Fetch your shipping rates from QPMN and, for the countries you select, create the corresponding weight-based shipping rates.
The extension only writes to your Squarespace settings when you explicitly click a button in its panel. It never acts on its own.
3. Data we collect
None. We do not collect personally identifiable information, browsing history, analytics, or telemetry. We do not use cookies or any tracking technology. We do not have a server that receives data from this extension.
4. Data stored locally on your device
To function, the extension stores the following on your own browser only. This data is never sent to us or to any third party.

Note on sync: the environment setting uses chrome.storage.sync, so Chrome may sync that single setting across devices where you are signed in to the same Chrome profile. It contains only your chosen backend URL — no personal data.
5. Network requests
The extension makes exactly one type of network request:
- A GET request to the QPMN plugin backend (
plugin.qpmarketnetwork.com, or the stage/test/custom host you select in the options page) to fetch shipping rates.
This request does not send any personal data, credentials, page content, or identifiers — it only retrieves the rate table. No other hosts are contacted. Nothing is uploaded.
6. Access to page content
The extension's content scripts run only on https://*.squarespace.com/config/* (your Squarespace admin). They read the page in order to detect whether your storefront script and shipping rates are already configured, and to fill in those settings when you ask them to. Page content is processed locally in your browser and is never transmitted anywhere.
The extension does not run on storefronts, on your customers' browsers, or on any other website.
7. Third parties
We do not sell, rent, or share any data. There are no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services in this extension. No remote code is loaded or executed.
8. Data retention and deletion
All data described in §4 lives only in your browser. To delete it, you can:
- Uninstall the extension (removes
chrome.storagedata), and/or - Clear site data for your Squarespace admin domain (removes
localStoragedata).
9. Children
This extension is a business tool for merchants and is not directed at children.
10. Changes to this policy
If the extension's data practices ever change (for example, if analytics were added), we will update this page and the extension's Chrome Web Store data disclosures before the change ships.
